Science Museum Mio The Robot Kit

Although this was marked as suitable for 8+ we took the risk & bought it for our nephew’s 7th birthday. He had no difficulty in following the instructions & assembling it apart from a couple of stiff parts and was able to operate it. I would say it went down well as a present - a change from Lego!

Science Museum Mio The Robot Kit

Easy to construct, and looks good. Following the instruction to programme, except the last entry press 'Enter' nothing happens! Followed instructions to the letter, light flash when they're supposed to, go off when they're supposed to, but when you press Enter, nothing happens......maybe we're doing something wrong, but I can see what.

Science Museum Mio The Robot Kit

Great idea, our son loved it but it does not turn 90 degrees when programmed, more like 80deg. This makes it impossible to programme accurately and do more complex manoeuvres. There is no adjustment mechanism so I guess this is just not possible to achieve. Considering returning it as a result - if had worked perfectly it could have been 5 stars.
