Delightful book by super author and illustrations are lovely.

Delightful story by a well known author of children's books = Micheal Morpurgo is a fascinating story-teller who captures imaginations both old and young and makes you feel totally part of the story. Couldn't ask for a better way for all to share the 'Flying Scotsman's centennary 100 a superb milestone for a truly remarkable engine.

A delightful book

My grandson Roman loves steam trains so this appealed to him no end. At two the story is too long, but he loves the beautiful art work images. His mummy reads bits to him at bedtime. As he grows and learns his grandad was a wheel tapper in Edinburgh, who back in the late 50's early 60's took me on the engine where I was allowed to blow the whistle on that magnificent train. It will be a wonderful keepsake for him.
