On 3 July 1938, A4 class locomotive Mallard raced down Stoke Bank at 126mph to set a new steam locomotive world speed record. That record still stands.
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Mallard, the National Railway Museum are pleased to offer the Bigjigs Mallard from the wooden Mallard 75 range. Children will love following in the footsteps of the famously fast Mallard, using this high quality model! The magnetic system makes it easy to link with wagons, and it is compatible with any wooden railway.
